David Wright Is Riding The Pine Today
When the Mets take the field against Josh Johnson and the Marlins this afternoon at Citi Field, don’t look for David Wright at third base. Instead, just peer into the dugout and you’ll be able to see him chumming it up with last night’s hero, Omir Santos, who will be sitting on the bench too.
Actually, I’m all for giving Wright some time off, especially after seeing him flail at pitches out of the zone and stare at fastballs down the middle of the plate.
Wright definitely needed a day off to wear his golden sombrero and take a little siesta while the Mets’ Triple-A affiliate take the field against the hapless Fishies.

Check out this lineup…
1. Angel Pagan LF
2. Fernando Martinez RF
3. Carlos Beltran CF
4. Fernando Tatis 3B
5. Daniel Murphy 1B
6. Ramon Martinez 2B
7. Brian Schneider C
8. Wilson Valdez SS
9. Tim Redding RHP
