Binghamton 5, New Britain

Another Dylan Owen start, another multi run performance. Another Binghamton game, another 2 hits for Josh Thole. And so it goes for the Mets, who saw Owen plummet to 0-5 with a 6.97 era after today’s rough 5 inning 6 run performance, but on the flip side, saw Thole collect 2 more hits, raising his average to .369. Almost as, if not more, impressive was Ruben Tejada, who had 2 hits himself, and is now batting .281 in Binghamton. Emmanuel Garcia, Lucas Duda and DJ Wabick also had multi hit games for the Mets, but it was to no avail. Nick Evans, Shawn Bowman (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .271), and Jose Coronado (0 for 4, .240) took 0-fers for the Mets, who collected 11 hits and 3 walks, and were an impressive 5 for 12 with RISP, and left 8 on base.
