Pelf has said he hadn’t felt “normal” since Spring Training started, why wasn’t his arm checked out before the season started?

I think there will be home field advantage this year, but it’s like Jerry has said more than once it won’t be until June or July that everyone gets acclimated with the new park.

Joe – It has suddenly occured to me that there will be no Home Team advantage for the Mets all season long. Nobody knows exactly how that new Citi Field will play including the Mets.

Hopefully, no more fan interference when the Mets play against the Brews tonight. That was irritating.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. But in any case, it will be interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets from the crowd. The situation kinda makes me think as a New York Rangers fan as well with Tom Renney. Renney was a great head coach that helped a basement dwelling Rangers team become one of the better teams in the NHL, where Willie seemed to do something similar with the Mets. Thing is, after a while, the team wasn’t right for Tom Renney anymore, just like maybe the Mets weren’t the right team for Willie anymore.

But apart from that, I’m actually glad I was sitting on the 1st base side last night, that way I wasn’t close enough to the idiot fan to give him an ear full…

I’ve come to the conclusion that Brian Schneider is one of the worst players in the major leagues. He doesn’t even do what he’s supposed to do well (defense) all that well. And he can’t hit a lick.

I truly hope that Willie gets a nice reaction from the crowd. Though I do think Willie had to be fired, he got ranked on way too much. He’s a good guy, and he did what he thought was best for the team. He took us through a great year in ’06, and I’ll always have respect for him. I will be very disappointed if the majority boos him.
