Freddy Garcia Isn’t Fooling Anybody
The more you see of Freddy Garcia, the more grateful you become that he was only signed to a minor league contract.
Garcia started today’s game against the Cardinals and once again he had a brutal outing.
His fastball hovered at around 85 MPH and was as flat as a pancake.
This time, Garcia was able to complete two innings, but not before allowing two homeruns that were literally blasted out of the park. In two innings he allowed four runs on three hits and a walk.
His spring ERA now stands at 20.25.
It’s difficult to see any scenario where Freddy Garcia makes this team barring an unforseen disaster of epic proportions.
The Mets are currently down 13-0 and Dan Murphy has looked dreadful in the leftfield.
