All of you know how much I hate the Yankees…
They may think they are the toast of the town, but every now and then they get dumped on just like all the rest of us.
When the Yankees came out of the gates, as soon as the free agent period started, and made that over the top offer to Sabathia, sure I was pissed off.
Why wouldn’t I be?
The team I love declared themselves out of the bidding without so much as a glance at this year’s top free agent pitcher, and the Skanks were already penciling him into their Opening Day lineup.
Of course I was really peeved, but you know what…
I got over it, so you should too.
SI.com’s Jon Heyman is reporting that C.C. Sabathia is dropping hints that he believes the Brewers will improve upon their initial $100 million dollar offer, and see if they can persuade him to scorn the Yankees’ $140 million dollar offer to the prized lefty.
GOOD… DO IT!
There may even be a strong chance Sabathia latches on with a west coast team supposedly because his wife is a California girl, and she can’t bare to ditch the surfboard for the subway.
Personally, I don’t care where Sabathia signs, as long as it’s not in New York… and when C.C. finally does sign on the dotted line…
I’ll be laughing my ass off because the Mets will still have the best pitcher in New York, no doubt about it!
