The Continuing Saga Of Billy The Kid

An article by posted on September 12, 2008

In an exclusive interview with Mike Puma of the NY Post, Billy Wagner talks about the past, the present and the future. A few of his more interesting quotes were…

About Playing Next Season – “I’ve played my last day as a Met, that’s the way it goes.”

About This Season - ”To me, it’s more about this year, because I really think this team has a chance to win the World Series.”

His Future – “It’s going to be hard to find that team that gives you a chance to get 400 saves and gives you a shot to win a championship when you’re coming back from major surgery. There are not going to be too many people beating down my door.”

And so ends the saga of Billy The Kid.
