Mets Tied For First After Big Win Against Nationals!

After embarrassing the Nationals Wednesday night, with a score of 12-0, the Mets have learned that they are now tied with the Phillies after a walk-off home run by Nomar Garciaparra. Both teams are without a consistent bullpen as they are without their respective closers, Wagner on the DL and Lidge has a sore shoulder. The Mets must take advantage of beating the bad teams now against the Nats and Pirates while the Phillies are on a cold streak losing 5 out of their last 7.

With Oliver Perez going tomorrow, look for the Mets to jump on the Nationals early and have Perez keeping the Mets with the lead. Perez pitched seven scoreless innings dropping his ERA to 3.90. If he can keep up his steady ways, the Mets will have won 6 out of their last 8.

Just a quick blog before the morning;I believe our next game tonight will lead our season towards a NL East championship. Don’t look back now Mets fans, keep your heads up because our time has finally come!
