Mets Patching Things Up With Their Past
Check out the patch the Mets will have on their uniform next year as they say their farewell to Shea Stadium.
It’s pretty cool I think, and it does a great job of bringing together the present and the past of the place we’ve called home for over 40 years.
I really look forward to seeing the Mets play in their new home Citi Field, but I am going to miss Shea Stadium very much.
When the wrecking ball tears down what’s left of her, a part of me will be deeply saddened.
I guess until we begin creating new memories at Citi Field, I will always remember the good times and the great memories that Shea Stadium will always hold for me.
I’m glad that the Mets chose to memorialize Shea with this beautiful patch. I’m going to try and find out how us fans can get hold of these great patches. If any of you already know how to get one please let me know!
