Is It The Endy Of The Line For Milledge?
It looks like Endy Chavez will not get activated today after all. It seems that he will instead be playing in another rehab game for Binghamton this afternoon.
I have no idea why the Mets are biding their time. My guess is that they are torn between sending Lastings Milledge back to the minors, or cutting one of their relievers, probably, Aaron Sele.
Look for the conclusion to this drama to unfold some time in the next 24 hours.
